CHILDREN LEARN THROUGH PLAY

At Grace Church Playschool we develop this idea through three highly organized programs. Our teachers and aides are well trained, nurturing people who are ready to provide your children with the basic age appropriate skills. We have successfully serviced the community with small class environments (5:1 ratio), for about 40 years.

Our MOMMY AND ME PROGRAM is a low cost way to introduce children ages 6 months to three years old and their families to interactive play. It is an aid in the social growth of all children and parents involved.

The next step in social development is a NURSERY SCHOOL PROGRAM . At Grace Church we help to make a smooth transition from one- to-one mommy directed play to socially independent classroom play guided by our competent staff. The children are introduced to primary skills' such as colors, numbers, shapes, and the alphabet through theme related activities, songs and books.

The PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAM builds on the Nursery Program by developing reading and math readiness. Social Studies and Science are also incorporated. Writing and book reports are introduced. Classwork is reinforced through homework, giving your child a sense of responsibility and a high self- esteem in their achievements.

PLAY, is an, essential part of early stage programs. Our staff provides several forms of play- directed play, free play, music and movement. The children are provided with a safe, clean and welcoming environment both indoors and out. Play is an important part in the enhancement of imagination and creativity.
